High Class High

This is my grandmother's high school senior portrait from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx, 1938. Boy, the high school seniors were so elegant back then, weren't they? I think she's just gorgeous!

I believe that being elegant was a way of life until just recently. Women and men dressed in their Sunday best went they visited family for a meal. The beauty in your family runs deep!

I miss that time of dressing up...especially since my mother and father were pretty fashionable and put my brother and I in the best outfits! As for the beauty in the family - thanks! I'll take it from any side of the family tree. :)
