Deep Down, She Knows She's A Princess

This morning I was up at 4am to catch the Royal wedding. I had seen Diana's wedding, I had seen Diana's funeral, and there was no way that I was missing Prince William marry beautiful Kate Middleton. I know there are photos all over the internet, but I can't possibly be the only one who photographed the TV screen.

Really all I wanted was to see the dress. I mean, we've all seen plenty of pictures of the Royals, but to see a commoner marry a Prince (again), well that gives all kinds of hope to womankind and if ever in the position, I need to know what to wear. The dress was of utmost importance.

I watched the arrival of the guests, the groom, the Queen and finally, the bride. She did look beautiful. Like a Princess. But alas, she is not an actual princess, even though she married a prince. Just hours before the ceremony, the Queen bestowed the title "Duke of Cambridge" on William, depriving Kate of the title Princess Catherine; instead, she's a Duchess. Not bad, I guess, considering where she came from.

I thought the ceremony was beautiful. I loved the outfits of the women and men attending; we really need to wear more hats in this country. I think Harry looked especially handsome; there's something about him that makes him so appealing (and I'm no fan of red hair on men). And the uniforms took them both up a few notches.

So there you have it, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. May they have a long, happy union. Or at least as kickin' a life as Royals can possibly have.

Must go nap now, hopping the pond so early for this wedding really wiped me out. Cheerio!

I love that out of all of the GREAT posts that you have done this month, that the one which had the most comments was the one about the Tilted Kilt. While a bunch of young ladies in small kilts does get one's blood pumping, I actually found the posts about the Boeing 747-8 to be the most impressive. After being there in the factory where the 747-8's are built and housed it is and will be one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Well, that is, until we visit the Tilted Kilt again.

o.k., i'll admit it...I watched the wedding thing...not in the morning, i was off working and to busy. later at 8 p.m. fox had a two hour special on the whole thing...and i found it quite interesting..the whole pomp thing was very cool..i'm a horse lover,so all those horses bobbing around as a guard was very impressive. I think Kate is absolutely beautiful, the people really seem to have a affection for her..she and william seem truly happy, and they've been together for a number of years and both seem more approachable and they enjoy a lot of life's more simple pleasures.I certainly hope they can keep their happiness, she will be under a extreme amount of pressure, but being a little older and maturemshould nhelp with that, and william has said he will go to great lengths to protect her from the abuse and harassment that his mother was put through..the most recent "royals" charles and andrew have been real goofs, and couldn't keep it together, somehow I think william is gonna take those lessons and make sure he and kate don't fall into that same trap..for their sake,i sure hope so, and i truly do wish them all the best...

I hope they haven't had to delay their honeymoon because the press found out where it was, and so they've had to change their plans! They both look gorgeous and happy though!
