A Wiley Coyote

We had a one coyote welcoming committee when we got to our delivery point.  There he was, just standing there looking at us.  The noise of the truck didn't even scare him off.
He was eyeballin' me hard.  Pretty, dontcha think?  Right after I took this photo, he licked his lips.  He knows I'm delicious.
 Then, he sat.
Got even more comfortable, but kept on staring.
A yawn.  This was his second one, so I suppose I was boring him with my picture taking.
Then he got up and sauntered off.
This place has lots of wildlife - deer, seagulls, cranes - and this is the first time we've seen a coyote here.

Pretty healthy looking coyote.

TROY: I know, right? This is up in the Pacific Northwest, on the Olympic Peninsula. He was very pretty. And seemede like he was used to being around people. Not like the screaming coyotes in our backyard in Tucson. :)

He's intelligent looking. Not going to be a good friend to your dachshund or kitty, though.

Def not an ally of the Easter Bunny. ("Mmmm. Entree and dessert.")

These animals are now on the endangered species list and are protected from hunters by law however, other big game, like deer, antelope and moose, are still on the list of targets that hunters can legally go after. Click here
