Let The Winds Of Heaven Dance Between You

This weekend we attended one of the most beautiful memorial services I've ever been part of.  Unlike most of the wakes I've been to in my life, where people wear black and are somber and quiet, this was truly a celebration of a life lived.

At the service, there was music, prayer, and heartwarming readings.  The eulogy painted a vivid picture of a woman who touched lives by showering everyone she met with love and joy.  Even more evident was the crazy love she shared with her husband of more than four decades.

After the service, everyone was invited to a reception and dance party.  The program said, "Bring your smiles and dancing shoes and come play with us!"

I recently read something I think is fitting for these inevitable and sad parts of life:

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.  Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
