Taking A Ship To See A Queen

This is the view through our windshield as we drove off the ferry into Victoria - the capital city of British Columbia, located on Vancouver Island in Canada.  The crossing was just 90 minutes from Port Angeles, Washington in the United States.  The ferry drops you right into downtown Victoria - and as you drive onto the main drag, you pass the beautiful parliament building, which is graced with a statue of Queen Victoria herself right in front of it.

There was one other semi truck on the ferry with us.  He was a few vehicles ahead of us.  We were one of the last vehicles off.  I know it's no big deal for people who take these ferries all the time, but I love when we get to take our truck on a ferry!  It's a bit more exciting than our everyday travel.
