Yukon Bet We're Far Away

Hello from the Yukon Territory in Canada!! I am currently at a public internet terminal in Destruction Bay, Yukon Territory. I thought I was going to break into song and dance when I saw the computer. It's really a sad thing. We have been either without phone service or in a roaming area during our entire trip in Canada. We are currently a few hours from the Canadian/Alaska border. Seriously, people, get a map. Check out where we are. If you can't find Destruction Bay on the map, look for Whitehorse, Yukon. It's very, very north.

We are only a few hours south of the Arctic Circle and believe me, if we had time, we'd be heading that way too! The beauty up here is impossible to describe. I will post pictures when I get to an area where I can, but I can tell you right now, it will not do what I'm seeing up here, any justice at all.

Tonight we expect to see the Aurora Borealis - the locals here in Destruction Bay say they're visible and should show up a little later tonight.

That's it for now, time for tea and pie and then back on the Alaskan Highway...I will write more about everything at a later point. And no, AJ, you do not have to do a list.

But do make sure you come back and read more later, eh?
