It's been raining for weeks in the south. Everything is soaked and overflowing. Rivers are swollen, fields are flooded. I had laundry to do.
We were in Louisiana for a week and it was so hot and humid, I couldn't bear the thought of sitting in a hot laundromat, so we put it off. Now I had two giant machines stuffed with clothes, sheets, and towels that needed to be washed. Ugh.
We were finally able to get it done in North Carolina, where thankfully it wasn't raining and by some stroke of good luck, the weather was cool.
And the owner of the laundromat was a nice Southern guy married to a Westchester County New Yorker. We had stuff to talk about.
Now the laundry is done and I don't have to worry about it for another few weeks.
And now I've got another photo to add to my Laundry category.
