Capitol Truck Stop

We spent one night at Plaza 23 Truck Stop, a little no-name non-chain truck stop located on the banks of the Hudson River, near the Port of Albany, a mile and a half from New York's state capitol building.

The truck stop vibe was old school.

The truck stop burger wasn't worth nine dollars.

I have been following your blog for awhile now, love seeing all your travels across the country! When I just read for post from 12/5, I couldn't believe it, you were less than a mile from where I work :)

SHANNON: Thanks for reading and thanks for commenting! Amazing that we were so close! I love hearing when people actually know where we are - especially in a spot like this, tucked away in an industrial area near the port. Unless someone works in the area, they aren't usually too familiar with those locations. I really wanted to go see the Capitol building and The Egg, but it was dark and a little rainy. :( Next time!
