Horsing Around

Last week I was in the kitchen making soup when something out the window caught my eye.  When I looked closer, I saw three horses running into our driveway!

I ran to the door to take a picture, then fumbled with the key to unlock the door, intending to bring them a carrot or something.  I saw them pause in front of our truck, do a few circles, and despite my whistling and clicking of my tongue to get them to come over and say hello to me, take off back down the driveway towards the street.

I don't know where they came from, but I have a good idea. A few houses down, we have a neighbor who has horses, and I would imagine they might have gotten away from her.  I'm hoping they ran back to her house and didn't wind up wandering the neighborhood.

Wherever they came from, it was a delightful interruption!
