Mina is so delicious! Everyday, my best friend Vicki has something new to tell me about what Mina says or does. Below, you will find a few of her latest gems.
At lunch last week, Mina was placing her order with Vicki - half of a ham and cheese sandwich with a glass of Sunny-D. Because she is Queen of Condiments On The Side, she also asked for pickles and green olives to accompany her sandwich. Vicki happily filled her order, but before she finished up, Mina snuck an olive from the plate.

Popping it in her mouth, she looked at Vicki quizzically and asked, "Mommy, are these the olives with the bones in them?"

Vicki laughed and said, "No. It's the black olives that have the PITS!

Later in the week, Vicki was pulling out of the bank drive-thru and as she looked in the rear view mirror, she saw Mina with a bit of a scowl on her face. She wasn't sure what the problem was, so she asked Mina what was wrong.

Mina shakes her foot and begins wiggling her fingers in the air (like a spider) and said, "Mommy, do you ever get those things around your feet?" Vicki had no idea what she was talking about.

Then Mina said, "You know, when you get bees in your shoes?"

Vicki is thinking, Bees?? Finally, it hit her - Ah, yes. The BEES in her shoes. Her foot had fallen asleep.

Vicki laughed out loud and proceeded to tell her that the "bees" was just her foot sleeping. She seemed to be satisfied with the explanation. Not that she understood that explanation, just seemed satisfied. A minute later she asked Vicki if her feet ever slept. And Vicki told her "Yes, of course. When they are very very tired they do."

And then, just today...

Vicki was working at the library at her son's school when, by the sound of the flip flops, she knew Mina was tearing down the hallway. When Mina skidded to a stop in front of her, Vicki asked, "Were you just running down the hall??"

Mina looked at her innocently and said, "It wasn't me, Mommy. It was my flip flops!"

Arrrgh. I know. I've already been comment spammed twice now....and well, that's just twice too much.

So I have heeded your brilliant suggestion and turned on the word verification. But I will be cursing you (not in the evil way)the first time my mother wants to know what JEQWYYUUF means!
