We Don't Even Charge For Parking

Marlaina and MacGyver left today.  We were sad to see them go.  They're seriously the easiest guests we've ever had.  All we had to do was point them to the coffee, shower, and wifi and they were happy as clams.

Ed and I were talking about how comfortable they were in unfamiliar surroundings.  Well, not totally unfamiliar since they'd been here before, but just the fact that they're staying in someone's house and not a hotel and they were completely relaxed.  We decided it's because they've traveled so much.  They're used to sleeping in five star hotels, but they've traveled the world and we found out yesterday at breakfast that MacGyver once slept on a bed made of reeds in South America.  The guest room at our house is somewhere between a reed bed and a five-star, so we're good.

And we have truck parking.

We parked one of our trailers at my brother's house and put the other one at the back of the driveway (you can see it behind the tree on the left).  That left room for their truck and trailer, and our truck.  It's always so nice to park the truck and get out of it for a few days, but having it close enough that you don't have to worry.

Here, MacGyver is doing a pre-trip inspection before getting ready to hit the road.

They head for California next to deliver their load and then have to hightail it out of there before January 1st to be compliant with the new regulations, so they'll likely be coming back through the area.

Perhaps I should leave the sheets on the guest room bed.
