Industrially Farmed Land

Today Ed and I went for a walk near the Flying J truck stop in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  As soon as we drove up I saw this giant distribution center being built in an area that used to be farmland.

"Look at that!" I said to Ed.  We haven't been to this area in over two years so the new construction was very noticeable.  Although efforts to save the historical farm were employed, it seems the developers won.

We walked from the truck stop, around the perimeter of the building (it's huge!), to the diner for dinner on the other side of the property, then back to the truck.  A total of 1.5 miles!
