but it also lives up to the origin of its name, based on "verts monts," French for green mountains. We originally planned to go to Lake Champlain, but Ed said "It's just a lake," so we nixed that idea and went south instead, traveling through pretty little towns nestled in lush green pockets.

And to end our day, we went to the Ben & Jerry’s Factory for a little Chunky Monkey. I had a delicious two scoop cone and Ed settled on a mini-sundae...

The phone number for the factory tour is 1-800-BJ TOURS.

Beautiful pictures and story. Did you feel too young on the of Ben & Jerry's? The reason I ask is my thirty year son and a few of his friend took the tour 5-8 years ago and they claim they were the only ones under 70. The reason is that most of the younger ones are in school.
I want to go to Ben & Jerry's!!!!!!!
ya just gotta love vermont....ben and jerry's alone is almost worth the trip!!...i hadn't paid any attention to the phone number, lol...but i'll bet brad would make the same assumptions....lol...the first time i had cider from cold hollow, i thought it was damn near the best thing i'd ever tasted....i just love it up there!...glad you had a good time!
