For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see.
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.

Boy, I wish I'd have searched and found that poem, then posted it as my Thanksgiving post. Why? Well because it says everything I was trying to say in my post but took me a whole hell of a lot more words (nothing unusual in that with me LOL) and wracking my pea brain too for well over an hour trying to put my thoughts together then too. Oh well, I wrote mine while my grandson was doing a 2 a.m to 4 a.m. wake-up session Thanksgiving Day morning and wouldn't have been able to go to bed any earlier anyway because of his being up and awake. So I guess mine served that purpose anyway but I like yours -this poem -which says it oh, so much better -and much, much shorter!
Beautiful. I just love Emerson.
I hope that you and the Edster had a fabulous Thanksgiving.
That was wonderful. Thank you for sharing it.
