Garlic Is Life

Garlic is life.  The smells of my childhood wouldn't be complete without the smell of garlic wafting through the air.  I've only met one person in my entire life who said they didn't like garlic.

"I don't like garlic.  Ruins any dish you put it in."  Those words came from our neighbor John who, along with his wife, was deemed "the best new person I've met" in #36 of my 2017 year-end meme.  Those words almost ended our newfound relationship.

I'm a skilled enough cook that I can whip up a meal sans garlic for the night I finally get around to inviting them for dinner (Hey Susan!  Let me know what your schedule looks like - we'll make plans.) but for all those other nights, and all those other meals, I've found several garlic-filled recipes that I definitely will be slipping into my rotation.
