Fun fact: Conrad Hilton started the Hilton hotel chain in Cisco, Texas with the purchase of a single hotel. He came to Cisco to buy a bank but the bank cost too much so in 1919 he bought a hotel instead.
That hotel is now a local museum.

Although that was his first hotel, the first one to be named "Hilton Hotel" came several years later in Dallas. It was a joy to stay there a few years ago... I really felt like a part of history!
