Where They Build Palaces Out Of Corn

I've been wanting to go to the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota since I first discovered its existence.  Since we don't get through South Dakota all that often, and never actually deliver or pick up anything there, it's a bit difficult to make it happen.

This week we were in Mitchell, South Dakota.  Well, not in Mitchell, but at the truck stop on the Interstate, at the exit that leads into Mitchell.  But we didn't have time to stop.

So I didn't get to see the Corn Palace, and it can be years before I get back there.

I just hope it doesn't become a Flickertail.  Because then I'll be guilty of not carpe-ing the diem again.
