Hats Off To....Well, Hats

I'm not a baseball hat girl.  I want to be, but I'm just not.  They don't look good on me.  It's my pear shaped head.  I put a baseball cap on and my cheeks are now the widest thing on my face.  Tiny head, wide cheeks, tiny chin.  Not a good look.

Other hats do me justice - big Kentucky-Derby-style hats - they balance out the pear.  Ed, he can wear anything on his head and look good.  As evidenced here, here, here, and here.  He can literally wear anything on his head and look cute.  

We took these pictures last month in the hats we got at our latest hazmat re-certification class. They were 25th Anniversary hats from the company we're leased to.  We get hats at every event, for almost everything.  Take a class, get a hat.  Visit a show booth, get a hat.  Attend a safety meeting, get a hat.  Stop in at an orientation center, get a hat.  Wave hello to an executive, get a hat.  Personally, I'd rather have cash.

I try to wear hats, really I do, but it just doesn't work.  My hair isn't long enough to thread a ponytail through the back.  My face isn't even tiny enough for the brim to shield me from the sun.  And I never go anywhere with dirty hair, so that trick isn't even something I'd consider.

So where does that leave me?  Always with a shitload of baseball hats.  I think the next time I get a good haul - the last one went to my youngest nephew - I'm just going to give them away here on the blog.

Oooh, maybe I'll just send them to international readers.  Than you can send me pictures of you, in your native country, wearing my free hat.
