Twenty-Four Hours Of Poutine

Poutine n.    French-Canadian dish traditionally made of French fries and fresh cheese curds, covered with brown gravy.

This place, which has been around almost as long as I have, starting serving it in the eighties.  And they're open twenty-four hours a day!
The exact origin Is uncertain, but wherever it came from and whoever invented it came up with a great combination of deliciousness.  It's the ultimate comfort food.
This was the last thing we ate before we left Montreal.  In Jersey, they call it "Disco Fries", and although the Québécois will most certainly challenge this because they came up with it first, it pretty much tastes the same.

But eating it in Montreal makes it seem so much better.

Honoured to be the first to comment on Your Poutine post. They look great, and as a pretty recent convert to healthier living, I WOULD indulge in a plate. Especially if in Quebec.
