A Few Blocks From Fort Apache

Longwood Avenue at Southern Boulevard
This is one of the main drags in the Longwood section of the Bronx.  Longwood is home to one of the highest concentrations of Puerto Ricans in New York City - very evident by the many Puerto Rican flags displayed throughout the neighborhood in windows, on fire escapes, at businesses, and on car license plates.

Served by the 41st Precinct of the NYPD, this intersection is less than a mile from the original 41st Precinct Station House, famously known as "Fort Apache".
