Eddie Sandwich

This photo op - on the Las Vegas strip, with fake showgirls not associated with any particular show or hotel that we could ascertain - set me back five dollars.  This one, only one dollar.

But Ed, in his floppy fisherman's hat, looked like a first-time tourist even though we've been to Vegas more times than anyone ever needs to go to Vegas.

For me, once a year (if that) is enough.  I'm not very interested in what they have to offer.  But we were on our way home and passed through and the weather was nice (not hot) so we walked around, went for lunch, people watched, and spent the rest of the night at the Bellagio.

I have to say, I really love the Bellagio.  It's beautiful.  We get so many free night stays - like the Wynn, and the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, and the Orleans - we've yet to use them all. We just got another one in the mail this week.

So I guess we'll be making more trips to use up our free nights and taking more pictures with people who hawk their wares on the street.

If nothing else, it's entertaining.

If you like that kind of thing.

Thats a great picture. WE got married in Vegas 5 years ago and have a love/hate relationship with it. The Belaggio IS really beautiful isn't it? We haven't been offered any free stays at all! How do you manage to get yours?

Funny photo.

Those women are technically covered from head to ankle.

I would think those outfits were hot, in the temperature sense.

MICK: Yeah, it is a love/hate thing. I think when people first go, or if they're real gamblers/partiers they love it. But I'm neither of those things, plus I hate the heat (although it wasn't really hot this past week) so I don't ever really have any desire to go back.

As for the hotel rooms, I think when you get a player card they send you discounts, free nights, coupons, etc. Ed plays blackjack and I play the slot machines (bad odds) and when you do, you can present your player card to the dealer or just insert it into the machine. Even if you don't lose any money, they see that you're playing - I think that's what might trigger the hotel to send letters for free nights. They want you to come back and lose!! LOL

BELLEDOG: I know. Their outfits are pretty modest, aren't they? After we asked to take a photo and they said, "We work for tips." (which is why they got $5 from me because I didn't have anything smaller!) we determined they probably don't even work for the hotel they were standing in front of. They probably bought the outfits at one of the showgirl supply stores and just went out on the strip and pretty much got money from tourists. Ed and I are thinking of dressing up next time we're there to see what kind of money WE can make. LOL
