Practicing For Retirement

So the RV park won out. Here's a picture of the truck in our spot and as you can see, it's not too busy but we do have neighbors. If you enlarge the picture, you can see my head sticking out of the back screen door.

I think I could get used to this, but we really need a way to get around when we're sitting in one place. For right now, the Smart Car is out but we have been thinking about either mopeds or bicycles. I actually went on a bicycle "test drive" the other day and was really surprised at how much I enjoyed it. OK, granted, it was inside the store and there were no hills, but there was a breeze in my hair!

Having the water and sewer hookup is going to spoil you when you get back on the road!

What I want to know is how do you find the time to park in an RV camp ground, or is this instead of going to the truck stop. :)

Gil: I'm already spoiled! I love the ability to have constantly running water. It totally beats working with just the 40 gallon water tank.

Lipstick: We always find time to relax and goof off! Actually, since we are hanging around till Monday for a load, we thought we'd do it at the RV park instead...there aren't many truckstops down here anyway and the ONE that we did find is sort of on the scuzzy side....so this totally beats it!

smart girl!...i'd take the quiet, freindly atmosphere of an rv park over the smelly truckstop parking lot anyday!!...what did you do with your trailer, tho??....i like the bicycle idea....get a little basket for the front to carry home your goodies and there ya go!...just curious tho as to why no smart car???...no where to carry it???

Bradbury's, the Smart car is 4 inches too long. I have to talk to R&D at Mercedes about removing the plastic from the front and back for road travel or shortening the already short car by 4 inches. It is the only car that comes close to the 102" width requirement at 106 inches. :(
