Fire Hazard

Hay bales in Gila Bend, Arizona. Honestly, in the 115 degree temperature, I don't know how they didn't burst into flames.

I think that if they have been properly died before baling they'll be okay. When you bale wet hay and put it in piles or in a barn you have to worry about spontaneous combustion. Of course my info is based on New England farming and not the oven where you are.

I think I read something about that...being dry before its baled. But man, it's a tinder box just waiting for a match! :)
