Tonight I took Ed to a historic South Tucson restaurant - Mi Nidito - My Little Nest. It's been around for over 60 years. I haven't been here for at least 19. It's a small place started by a couple who moved here from Sonora, Mexico. The cuisine is typical Sonoran style Mexican food.
They've had several famous diners over the years - Willie Nelson, Linda Ronstadt (a Tucson native), Kurt Russell, Jimmy Smits, Beau
Bridges, Rich Little, Sam Elliot, Julio and Enrique Iglesias, Madeline Albright, President Bill Clinton - in fact, there's a Presidential Booth with photos and a plaque on the wall commemorating his visit.

We've knocked another Tucson landmark off the list. Well, this one isn't on the "official" list, but now that Ed's been there, I'm counting it as a bonus on his Tour of the Old Pueblo.

I really like their name, Mi Nidito.
They are going to have to come up with a vegan Presidential plate if they want to lure the Big Dog back!
Happy Sunday.
