The Ancient And Mysterious

We met Steve the first night on the ship, outside on the Promenade Deck.  We wound up spending most of the cruise together.  We played Scrabble (he kicked our ass), Ping-Pong (he kicked Ed's ass), and Name That Tune (I kicked both their asses).  We also took in several of the evening shows and were together on a few excursions.

He's originally from Philadelphia but now resides in Southern California.  He owns a shop called Laguna Tattoo, which is located right on Pacific Coast Highway.  The shop has been there for over 30 years.  Steve has owned it for 27 of them.

We had a great time hanging out and meeting nightly for dinner - lobster formal night was one of the best.  By the end of the eighteen days, we knew each other's "bio" well enough to recite it to the newcomers at our table.

I don't have any plans to get a tattoo (you can breathe now, Mom) but we do look forward to seeing him in the future - we're close enough for him to drive and visit us in Arizona, and he's already got another Hawaiian cruise planned. Who knows, we might even be seeing him in Maui this year!

Check out the ancient history of tattoos here.
