Her Bosom Is Heaving, His Member Is Throbbing

Oh, the decadence of a Harlequin romance novel. I haven't read one of these books in over twenty years, but Harlequin is celebrating its 60th anniversary by offering FREE e-book downloads!! How can I possibly resist?

Oh, but I can't resist....just having you so near makes me weak...you take my breath away...just the thought of holding you in my arms....pressing my nose between your fragrant pages...

Download your free Harlequin romance novel here.

You know you want it.

OMG, my mother has read Harlequin books for probably 30 years. And I have teased her just as long.
There is a used bookstore in the town she lives and about half the store is Harlequin books. (Those suburban wives need some joy)
She actually keeps one in her purse for those emergencies.
We (I am one of six) have all told her that she will be buried with a Harlequin book.

Hahahaha! Like Anonymous, my mum reads those things all the time. I call them her "porn" collection and it has become a joke around the family that she's a "porn" addict. She's a good sport about it, though, and whenever I'm off to the bookstore - she tags a long announcing she needs "new porn" for her collection. I'll have to check out the site and see what I can download for her. Thanks!

I followed the link ---- there are 16 free books! Whatever happened to the great old artwork on the covers? And why are there babies on some of the covers now? That is sort of a mood breaker!

And just for the record, did you know that every time you do one of those "captcha" things to leave a comment, that you are typing one or two words into a digitized book system! Words from old scanned books that the computer did not recognize, are put into these "captcha" things, and when they are typed by us, the system somehow feeds directly to correcting the original scan!

Isn't this all the truth? LOL

And Don - I'm with you on the baby thing. TOTALLY turns me off. I think though, that they are trying to appeal to the single mom crowd....just because you have a baby doesn't mean you don't want a hot and steamy romance too! Although, that totally doesn't appeal to me AT ALL.

I'll stick with the good 'ol bodice rippers!

As for the Captcha...I know! Isn't it cool that they are actually using regular old people to decipher words from old books? Great idea, huh?

I think I may have read the book that the picture you have there was the cover for! Looks pretty darned familiar though but that was also many, many moons ago too so I can't recall the title.
