Not A Time For Restful Sleep

This is the beach in Turks & Caicos when we were there in 2011.  This was just before Hurricane Irene hit the island.  The hotel brought in all the bedding, pillows, and billowy curtains from the beach beds.  

The sky started to darken and the water was getting rougher as the hurricane got closer to us.  It wound up hitting the island as a Category 1, which was not as forceful as we originally expected.

The day after, it was business as usual and the beach beds were back in use.
