History Still Standing

I love finding old buildings around the country. This one is located in Shreveport, Louisiana. It looks as if it's the original brick, although parts of it seem to have been painted. On the side of the building it says "Fresh Meat" and "Royal Crown Cola".

No matter where it is, or what the building looks like, I always wonder what it was like in its heydey. What the area was like when it was bustling with businesses, and what the building was originally used for and how that changed over the years.

This is the kind of history I enjoy. You can keep your cowboys and indians.

I'm a big fan of old buildings too. I love trying to work out a composition with my camera - trying to best capture the shadows, color, and light.

Imagining the souls that pass through those doors. Thank you for the picture and moment of reflection. Safe travels.
