It's Always Pie Day In Shipshewana

We made another trip to Shipshewana this week to get a few tweaks done on the truck. The bunk air-conditioning wasn't working and we needed to have that looked at pronto. Yes, I know it's freezing in many parts of the country, but it's not freezing in my sleeper bunk.  So that needed to be fixed.

We had our catwalk steps welded and something done to the exhaust.  We also had them look at the water spigot on the sink.  It's been coming out in a trickle for the last few months and I couldn't stand it any longer.  Turns out it had nothing to do with their materials or installation process so it had to be clogged somewhere in the line.  Once they were done with everything they needed to do, Ed got down and dirty under the sink and voilĂ ! fixed it.  He's such a handy man.

We had lunch with another driver at the Blue Gate Restaurant - pretty much the only place we go when in Shipshewana - and then hung out the rest of the day.  I was expecting snow in the area but there was only residual plowed piles lingering in parking lots and the weather was cool and mild.  Perfect for me.  And although I didn't geek out on Pi Day - I didn't even know there was such a thing - I took an obligatory photo of pies.

Most importantly, I stocked up on my favorite cottage cheese.  I am now ready to go back to work.
