These are two cab-over trucks I saw at the PKY Truck Beauty Championship area of the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky.
I kinda like this style of truck, it's a bit retro to me. I know a lot of old-timers used to drive these and every once in a while you'll see one on the road, but they're just not as common here as they are in other countries.
If you're a fan of this kind of rig, you're just going to have to hit a truck show. The "Pride and Polish" events always have their fair share of COEs.

I always thought that cab over trucks offered less protection to the driver and occupant of the other front seat. Also, have had a gut feeling that there is extra wind resistance which in turn reduces fuel mileage. Might be okay for city use, like a bus or firetruck. But not for over the road. I'm probably all wet because I'm a bean counter and not in the trucking industry. As usual, nice pictures.
These trucks are splendid. I will find a way to get to this truck show once. I just searched google and saw the 2017 show was great. ~ Billy.
