A Burst Of Color In Texas

The prickly pear cactus are blooming in Abilene, Texas.  Yellow and orange and pink.  We have the same cactus in Arizona, in our yard even, but I haven't seen the orange or pink flowers on ours, only yellow.

Purty, as they say around these parts.

Beautiful picture. How you making out with the storms down there?

GIL: Man, this morning we woke up to the truck rocking significantly in the wind. Really moving back and forth. I checked my weather app and saw that the county we were in was under a tornado watch! The sky was all dark and creepy, the clouds hanging low. It rained very hard, lots of lightning, lots of wind, then it cleared up and got sunny. Damn Texas weather!

Are you heading out of the Republic of Texas? Stay safe and dry.

Have been wondering about you two, out in frisky weather.

BELLEDOG: We are out of Texas. Whew! The weather was crazy. Heading out west now, to the blistering heat. Lovely.
