Over 7,000 Feet Of Pristine Beauty

This picture was taken in the Sierra Nevada while traveling through Donner Pass, about two hours east of Sacremento on Interstate 80. At the time we passed through, the snow, which was expected to add up to four additional feet over the weekend, had just begun to fall. It was just breathtaking. If you enlarge the picture, you can see the flakes in the blue sky area.

Wow! Beautiful photograph! So THAT's what it looks like an hour away from where I sit. LOL I wouldn't know 'cause I'm afraid of snow. Sure is pretty though!
