I Walked In The Footsteps Of Richard Gere

Not only was Port Townsend a great little town to walk around in, it was a great town to film in too.  This ring any bells?

No?
Perhaps if you saw the whole place?  This what did it for me.  The named seemed familiar, but it wasn't this part of the hotel...
It was this part, the old section. This is the hotel where the love scenes between Richarde Gere and Debra Winger in An Officer and a Gentleman were filmed.
The room where David Keith's character (Sid Worley) hung himself is also in this section.

There are other locations in town that were seen on the film, and the local paper mill (currently a real, working paper mill) was where the girls in the film worked.

I guess it's time to re-watch the film!
