Scenic Route?? Please.

US Route 93 through Nevada.  I am not a fan of the west.  And this is not my idea of scenery.

We did a coach tour of Route 66 a few years ago and when we got to Nevada the Tour director said "I'm gonna put on a DVD now, 'cos there ain't much scenery out there-unless you like a lotta brown". Of course us Little Englanders shouted from the back "we like brown 'cos all we get back home is green!"

I love mountain landscapes, desert too.

The West is so different from the East Coast. The expanse; the color and underlying geology, the settlement pattern.

But I guess you can see anything once too often.

MICK: The Southwest was made for travelers like you! LOL When I used to work for the Westin La Paloma resort in Tucson, we'd have people from other parts of the US and people from all over the world visit and if they'd never seen our scenery, it fascinated them. They loved the cactus and the mountains and the brown of the desert. I'm going to have to come over to your side of the pond because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the rolling hills of lush, abundant green! :)

BELLEDOG: Yes, yes, I know you love the West Coast. It really is so different than where you are now. But I LOVE your part of the country! Some of my favorite scenery is in Virginia! :)

Anytime you want to visit Keswick, Cumbria, just give us a call. We would be glad to show you around all the lush rolling scenery. In fact, there's some more lushness coming now (cue Bucketfulls of rain)
