We've spent the last few days staying very busy. We're not running hard, just steady, creeping down the highways like this fire is creeping down the track. What the hell are these guys doing anyway??
Ed likes staying busy because if the wheels are rolling, we're making money. I like that we're not killing ourselves. It also means that over the weekend we'll be able to meet up with our friends in Florida who are back from their six-week vacation in Asia. I can't wait to hear about their trip - even though I've been in regular contact with Marlaina the entire time they were gone - and see what kind of goodies they've brought back for me!
I've been just busy enough to get a little behind here on the blog, but I'll catch up in the next few days, so make sure you come back!

Found this info online.(They're burning some wicks against the rail for the purpose of heating up the rail to make it expand (linearly). That's done to fix a rail break. Metal stretches and contracts in hot and cold, and railroad rail is no exception. On a cold day it's meant to be stretched like a guitar string... that's great, but if it breaks in that state, they have to heat it up to let the slack out so they can fix it.)
