Acute Nostalgia

Many people have a song they identify with certain life events.  Something that reminds them of their best years in high school, the song that was played at their wedding, the song they listened to endlessly when they broke up with their first boyfriend, etc.

One of my life songs is Waiting for a Star to Fall by Boy Meets Girl.

This song, released in 1988, reminds me of the years my best friend Vicki and I spent together in Upstate New York.  We worked at the same job (two of them!) and were, most of the time, inseparable.  Whenever I hear it, I think about my carefree twenties and all the fun we had and the memories we made.  Like it was yesterday.

I consider this "our" song.
