Today, Ed and I, and our friend Kim all had a new experience.
We participated in our first 5K! Kim and I walked, and Ed ran.
It's an annual community event called Harvest for Hope, which collects food for needy families.
It was a very pleasant walk, with maybe 60 people in attendance - lots of families with kids - and pretty perfect weather.
We received a t-shirt and medallion for participating, and I won a raffle prize, a small flashlight and Christmas pencil. Just what I always wanted!
Even though Ed ran the entire thing and passed us way before we finished, like a true Marine he came back to cheer us on and help his team through the finish line.
Ooh Rah!
